Insitome is an Austin based genetics app company founded by Dr. Spencer Wells. We previously worked together on the branding of Embark. I worked with the team on strategy, branding, design, and direction.
Insitome is a consumer genomics company like no other. We believe in the power of good design and storytelling to immerse users in an extraordinary interactive experience, revealing “the story of me” in all of its varied facets, from ancestry to health and wellness. Our core values are scientific innovation, captivating narration and consumer-focused product development, bringing the power of genomic knowledge into everyday life and truly democratizing it for the first time. Insitome is your companion on a journey of self-discovery, taking you to places you’ve never imagined, and revealing details about yourself you might never have guessed. Insitome is consumer genomics, reimagined.
Creative direction for (large international company)'s consumer product/app/service in a new vertical. All under NDA, so I can only show bits and pieces publicly. Complex new territory, deep research, weekly user testing, and executive review. I was brought in at the end of this two-year project to help clarify existing ideas, create new directions, refine the future of the brand, UX, lead the design team, and collaborate with company executives.
This wasn't a "just us a website" project, Storm Ventures and I worked together to define what entrepreneurs wanted to know from a potential partner, how best to reflect the internal Storm culture, create a startegic foundation for Storm's brand, and create content that was truly informative and useful. In progress.
