Great buildings are like great people. The best ones bring us together. Our partners at Rize know this first-hand. Focusing on large-scale, design-forward, commercial, and residential communities throughout Metro Vancouver, they enlisted our help for an up-and-coming 38-story rental and strata project featuring 555 homes. We worked with Rize to help conceptualize the property’s amenities, spatial design, name, brand expression, and voice. This system needed to be flexible enough to cover the various stages of this years-long project: municipal proposals and pre-sales, construction and broader promotion, and finally, ownership and livability.

IT’S HARD TO DESCRIBE THE PERFECT HOME. BUT YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS. THE CONCEPT OF “HOME” LOOKS AND FEELS DIFFERENTLY TO EACH PERSON WHO INHABITS IT.


We aimed to develop an experience and brand that celebrates these diverse emotions—while still being simple and clear. That way, each tenant can color the space with their own vibrant lives. Inspired by the Finnish word for the feeling of being, Olo is rooted in a sense of connection, a home for a flexible lifestyle that plays off the natural beauty of Metro Vancouver. 

WHEN WE TAKE RISKS, WHEN WE IMBUE A DYNAMIC ENERGY, WHEN WE INVITE GOOD IDEAS AND GOOD PEOPLE INTO OUR LIVES—THOSE FEELINGS ARE CONTAGIOUS.

CENTRAL TO EVERYTHING. DESIGNED TO BRING EVERYONE A LITTLE CLOSER TOGETHER. OLO IS CRAFTED FOR SHARING LIFE WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND DESIGNED TO EVOLVE WITH THE CHANGING NEEDS OF ITS RESIDENTS.



GIVEN THE EXPRESSIVE AND HUMAN NATURE OF THE VISUAL IDENTITY, WE WANTED TO MATCH THAT TONE WITH OUR VOICE. OLO SOUNDS LIKE A FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR: CONVERSATIONAL, FAMILIAR, BUT ALWAYS RESPECTFUL OF YOUR PRIVACY AND BOUNDARIES.
